The holiest of all holidays
are those kept by ourselves
in silence and apart;
the secret anniversaries of the heart.
Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
Today marks the two year anniversary that my stepmom, Leora passed away. I have learned:
- That life goes on, if you choose.
- Time can ease all things, if you choose.
- Everyone grieves differently.
- You cannot go back and redo, take back or do it better. All you have is now.
- You can never have enough pictures. You'll always wish you took more.
- I think about my life and legacy differently.
- I'm so thankful I have hope.
- I wish my dad could move on.
- Grief can have a strong hold, if you choose.
- You can laugh and cry when remembering.
