In Remembrance

The holiest of all holidays
are those kept by ourselves
in silence and apart;
the secret anniversaries of the heart.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Today marks the two year anniversary that my stepmom, Leora passed away. I have learned:
  • That life goes on, if you choose.
  • Time can ease all things, if you choose.
  • Everyone grieves differently.
  • You cannot go back and redo, take back or do it better. All you have is now.
  • You can never have enough pictures. You'll always wish you took more.
  • I think about my life and legacy differently.
  • I'm so thankful I have hope.
  • I wish my dad could move on.
  • Grief can have a strong hold, if you choose.
  • You can laugh and cry when remembering.
