Book Review ~ My Sister's Keeper

I have read a few of Jodi Picoult's books and I have enjoyed each one. Each book I have read brings to life highly debated moral and ethical issues, but in a believable story where you find yourself debating both sides of the issues because you get the know the characters that are living out those issues.

I really wanted to read this book before the movie came out because the movie looks amazing with some of my favorite actors, so I knew the book was going to be even better! I'm so glad I read it. It was thought provoking, moving, touching and of course I cried at the end.

Anna is not sick, but she might as well be. By age thirteen, she has undergone countless surgeries, transfusions, and shots so that her older sister, Kate, can somehow fight the leukemia that has plagued her since childhood. The product of preimplantation genetic diagnosis, Anna was conceived as a bone marrow match for Kate - a life and a role that she has never questioned… until now.
