Easton actually remembers bits and pieces of taking and picking up Ellie when she was in preschool. It was a big part of his life every other day since he was born. He knows who his teacher is because her in-laws live across the street from us so we see her every now and then. He has had his backpack for most of the summer. We have just talked about Easton having his turn at preschool forever because big sister has been going to preschool and now elementary school since he was born!
Here is a recap of the big day.
The sign on his door marking the first day! Inside the frame it said, "play, learn, friends, recess."
The traditional photo in front of our house.

Posing in front of the preschool sign. Check out that backpack! It's as big as Easton!

Each child gets to put a sticker on their folder for coming to school each day. This is his teacher, Mrs. Esser. Mrs. Esser was the assistant in both of Ellie's preschool classes. We are so excited she gets to be Easton's teacher! On the left side of the photo look closely to see the card Easton made Mrs. Esser and the bouquet of flowers he made her. CUTE!

When the children enter their class, parents are encouraged to start an activity with their child to help them settle. Easton went straight to the cars, then two boys joined him. I had to say goodbye several times and beg for a kiss because he was so busy playing!

At the end of the day, parents pick up the kids on the playground. He wanted to show me how he could go down the slide.

After picking up Ellie at school, we met Dad at Wendy's for a celebratory kid-sized Frosty!

What a big boy! He had so much to say about all the little parts of his preschool day. I was impressed by how much he verbalized. He was very tired tonight but even as he closed his eyes asked me if tomorrow was preschool. Not yet; you have to wait until Thursday, Buddy! We are so proud of you!

He looks sooo grown up and handsome!! Go, Easton! :)
Okay, cutest thing ever!! Glad he had fun. He was so excited when I saw him yesterday:)nn
Calvin is loving preschool, although when asked all they do is eat crackers and play outside. No songs, no coloring, just play. Oh and drink red juice.
Ah, the good years.
