Pumpkin Patch

We visited the Pomeroy Pumpkin Patch in Amboy the first weekend of October. The weather was excellent and made for some great pumpkin picking. This was Easton's first visit to the pumpkin patch. He walked the outside of the patch and at the very end found a pumpkin just his size.

Ellie touched every pumpkin and changed her mind a dozen times until she found the perfect pumpkin. The Pomeroy Pumpkin Patch also had animals for the kids to view, a hayride on a tractor (enjoyed the most by Easton) to view the many "pumpkin people" along the way.

The best part of the day was watching Ellie and Easton as the curiously watched a cow eat a pumpkin. Ellie was so excited to show Easton the cow and she talked him through what the cow was doing. Watching her tenderness with him melted my heart and he actually let her touch him. Later that night, it was WWF wrestling, but for a few moments I got to see just how much they really like each other.

We ended the day with a short trip down the road to Lucia Falls so the kids could run around and throw rocks in the river.
