7 Months Old Already?

Time flies. Easton is already 7 months old, more than half way to being one year old - it's hard to believe. One of my friends that has a baby only 3 months older than Easton has kept assuring me that with each passing month the second child gets easier...and she has been right. Easton has acquired lots of fun new skills, all of which make him more independent and hence, more happy.

At this 7 month mark, Easton is eating lots of solid foods, is going down for naps and bedtime much easier, enjoys playing with toys and has rediscovered how fascinating his hands are, loves to stand against things and pull himself now and then and is even showing the first steps toward crawling, oh my! He gets the biggest kick out of just grunting or growling in a low voice and his own bodily noises, such a boy! Easton and Ellie make each other laugh and it already melts my heart to see their interactions as they play, eat or take baths together.

This month will bring our first extended separation...my going back to work.
