"My Native American name would be Gentle Dog"

A preschool performance for Thanksgiving showcased that Ellie's class had learned about Native American Indians. Another paper bag costume donned Native American Drawings to describe charateristics of each child. Included with the paper bag vest was a headband and necklace laced with beads the children made from clay.

The performance consisted of a poem recited by the children about giving thanks and using hand signs as the Native American Indians did. Each child also told the audience their Native American name. Ellie's was Gentle Dog. No big surprise as she desperately wants a dog and often acts like a dog, including barking, licking, pretending to eat like a dog and even being asked to be sent to her imaginary kennel.
